We are incredibly proud of all our children who took part in the Poetry by Heart competition this year. Each child showed fantastic confidence and commitment by learning and performing a poem completely off by heart – a brilliant achievement!
This year saw over 11,000 entries nationwide. Although we didn’t win first place in the South West regional competition and therefore didn’t make it to the grand final in London, we are absolutely delighted to share that Josephine in Year 4 was awarded Best in County for KS2 in Somerset – an incredible accomplishment! This is a huge achievement, and she should feel immensely proud of herself, as are we.
A huge well done to every child who took part – your dedication and courage have made our whole school community proud.
