On Monday, Elmer Class braved the rain on a mission to explore Norton St Philip. The children looked carefully around the village for human features, such as houses, the church and the park, and physical features, such as hills, trees and water.
On Wednesday, Elmer Class enjoyed a visit to the church to learn about how it can help Christians to feel that they belong. The children explored features of the church, such as the font, pulpit, altar and hymn books, and discovered how each helps to welcome people and bring a congregation together. They shared some thoughtful ideas, including how an open door on Sunday can welcome everybody inside.
