02 Jun Gruffalo, Elmer and Paddington go for a river walk!
This week, Gruffalo Class, Elmer Class, and Paddington Class had a fantastic time out and about on a river walk around Rode. The sun was shining, and the children were full of excitement as they set off on their adventure, keeping their eyes peeled for all kinds of wildlife — including the infamous beavers!
After the walk, Elmer and Gruffalo Classes spent some lovely time at the Rode site, where they got stuck into a range of outdoor activities, including making fairy doors by the trees and exploring nature in creative ways. It was a joy to see the children so engaged and imaginative in the outdoor learning environment.
Lunchtime was a highlight for many, as all four classes came together to eat and play. The playground was full of laughter, chatter and happy faces, with new friendships forming across year groups.
To end a brilliant day, the Elmers visited the Paddington classroom to enjoy a shared story time with Miss Anderson and the Year 2 children. It was a lovely moment of calm and connection after an energetic day.
