24 Jan Paddington Class – STEMgineers and Rocket Builders
Calling all STEMgineers and Rocket builders
As part of our Far, Far Away topic Paddington Class are going to be taking part in the Lego Movie 2 STEM competition to build a rocket or space ship for Emmet. The vehicles can be any shape or size, but must contain recycled materials.
The children will be spending 2 days of child led learning, planning, building, perfecting and decorating Space vehicles and we would love your help:
- Please could you send in any junk/recycled/shiny/silver materials we can use to create our spaceships.
- Please can you help your child research and ponder possible design ideas.
- Can you spare a few hours to help with the creative process? No previous rocket building skills necessary!
Wednesday will be planning, problem solving and Tinkering. Thursday will be making, perfecting and decorating.
To get fully into the creative process we would love all of the children to dress as Engineers and Rocket builders for the 2 days, whatever they feel that may be.
What would a rocket builder wear?
