06 Feb BeeKeeping Talk
On Wednesday afternoon Gruffalo and Elmer Class had a talk from Isla’s dad all about bees. We learnt where bees live, the role of the Queen bee and how beekeepers keep themselves safe. We used magnifying glasses to examine some dead bees closely and we were also lucky enough to taste some honey produced by Isla’s bees. The children were so engaged in the talk, they really enjoyed sharing their own knowledge about bees and asked some fantastic questions for example; ” What are bees wings made from?” “What do you call a group of bees?”
